Project: Pump.Jump.Repeat Skills Area
Client: Hunter Mountain Bike Association
Date: November/December 2024

We collaborated with the Hunter Mountain Bike Association to design and build a skills area that includes a dual-line pump track section and a progressive jump line. This features a variety of elements, such as ramps with increasing drop heights, tabletops and hip jump.

As part of the project planning, careful consideration was given to the natural geography and drainage patterns of the site. The design incorporated a series of purpose-built drainage channels and strategically positioned rock features to guide water flow and reduce the risk of erosion. Larger rocks and small catchment ponds were used to slow water movement through the skills area, allowing for natural absorption and controlled dispersion. These measures not only protect the integrity of the trail surface but also ensure the sustainability of the site under varying weather conditions.
